Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel was born on December 2 1968 is an American actress. She is most well-known for her roles on daytime TV, episodic guest appearances and made for television movies. Sofer was given the Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo on the soap show General Hospital. She played Quinn Fuller in the CBS soap show The Bold and the Beautiful, from 2013 to 2022.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) She was an Orthodox rabbi, and Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau).
In 1970, she moved in 1970 to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and father. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. Their family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was the director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer resided in North Bergen, New Jersey and her father was Rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. She graduated from North Bergen High School, and then went to Montclair State College.
Career
Television during the daytime
Sofer first appeared on Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as managing a band. Her first appearance on television was that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap drama that revolved around Loving (1988-91).
