Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. Following her debut in a feature film with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Approached by a photographer Doody began to model and subsequently an industry-related career in modelling. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work, a rule that she incorporated into her acting. After being spotted by of the casting director of an upcoming James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of the top twelve promising actors of the year in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was still only 18 years old at the time of her appearance in the Bond character. To date she's the newest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying (1997), starring Mickey Rourke, also featured an unimportant role in the form of IRA Siobhan. Doody was an actress in silent films in a 1987 film adaptation to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead role in Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathiser and a archaeologist for forensics in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud named the Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson's part. Doody then appeared as Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent alongside Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. Doody was part of the 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony to receive an award. Doody's roles included a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust as well as the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody filmed a role in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. She guested in RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was later canceled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she starred as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria the tierra de film prize was awarded to her on the 21st of November the 21st of November, 2018. She also received an award on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
